F1 Power Rankings-United States Grand Prix

Max Verstappen (F1i.com)     Yet another edition of the Formula 1 season was won by Red Bull's Max Verstappen, as the Dutch driver inches closer and closer to the cusp of history. His 13th victory over the season equaled an all-time record, set by a legendary German duo in the form of Michael Schumacher and Sebastian Vettel.      Grim vibes around the paddock were created by the unfortunate passing of Red Bull F1 owner Dietrich Mateschitz and it was overwhelmingly clear that the manufacturer were willing to put all their cards on the line to make this a special weekend to thank Didi. Luckily for them, that is precisely what happened, as Red Bull sealed their first Constructor's Championship since the days of Vettel's last championship.      Elsewhere, the second Grand Prix in the States this season gave us a few intriguing midfield battles, including a hefty shunt between Lance Stroll and Fernando Alonso. All in all, it was an entertaining ...

F1 Power Rankings: Japanese Grand Prix

Max Verstappen (F1i.com)     The inevitable has finally been made official. Max Verstappen is a two-time Formula 1 world champion. Verstappen had a tough task building upon what was a superstar performance in 2021, but 2022 was an even more dominant period for the Dutchman, as he has sealed the title with 4 races to go.      Unfortunately for Max, his domineering drive around the infamous Suzuka track was soured by a series of controversies, namely Pierre Gasly's near miss with an incorrectly commissioned recovery vehicle. Other moments of madness included Charles Leclerc's hastily decided 5-second penalty and uncertainty surrounding the amount of points that would be awarded following a rain-soaked Japanese GP.     Regardless, it was still a fascinating race that beckons for further examination by the Sincere Sports power rankings crew. In this article, that will be precisely what we do.      As usual, I added ...

2022-23 NHL Season Predictions

The reigning champs (Mark J. Rebilas, USA Today)     The National Hockey League has returned. We finally have the return of the legendary sport in competitive action. Thus, like I do for every single major sport, I must make my world-famous predictions to provide some knowledge for the Sincere Sports readers.      Amidst the chaos, I will be trusting my gut and going over every single division, picking the teams in a 1-8 fashion, while also providing a bold prediction for every organization as bonus content. At the end of the article, I will make my brief choices for all the major NHL awards.      I appreciate the loyalty of my viewership, so please keep up with my articles, as the frequency isn't going to let up, particularly with the Leafs games on the horizon.      With that being said, let's get started with the Atlantic Division.

F1 Power Rankings: Singapore Grand Prix

Charles Leclerc (F1i.com)     The return of Formula 1 marked the end of Max Verstappen's streak of dominance, yet it continued the reoccurring trends that have become the norm this season: Ferrari on pole, Red Bull with the victory.       Truth be told, after Red Bull's strategic error during Saturday's qualifying jeopardized Verstappen's starting position, the midfield became the true hot topic of the weekend, particularly the battle for 4th in the Constructors' Championship. Incumbents McLaren reversed a seemingly insurmountable gap, picking up 22 points via Lando Norris and Daniel Ricciardo to go 4 points clear of Alpine.     Regardless, the first GP in 3 weeks marks the return of the Sincere Sports power rankings. Generally, the scores were quite low at this race, as other than the drivers at the top, there weren't too many signature drives.       As usual, I added all the drivers' scores together to find the top 10 ...
